CSAR has been used for over a decade by the Victorian WorkSafe Authority Operational Training Team, to ensure the quality of all Health and Safety Rep training.

As creator of this unique and successful IP, I am the only provider of coaching and training in its use.

What is CSAR?

CSAR is firstly a process for designing great workshops, coaching sessions etc. Follow it, and you will be creating learner-centred, best-practice interventions that will constantly provide the ‘2 Es’: engagement and education.

From there a trainer or coach can use the model to make effective communication choices whilst running the CSAR-designed intervention. Each of the learner states - Curiosity, Study, Application & Reflection - is best supported by a different set of trainer/coach choices:

CURIOSITY = Motivational Speaker mode

STUDY = Instructor/Teacher mode

APPLICATION = Coach mode

REFLECTION = Facilitator mode

From there, the model can also be used by, for example, a training manager to assess the quality and effectiveness of the choices being made by either the designer or trainer/coach. That’s because CSAR is a quantifiable process, that come replete with concrete design and delivery criteria and suggestions. As far as research has so far allowed, it is the only model that allows for this.
